At Oak Design & Build, we create inviting outdoor spaces that are both functional and attractive. In a recent project, we transformed a typical urban backyard into a versatile area for relaxation and urban farming. Understanding the client's needs was crucial. They wanted a low-maintenance landscape with areas for entertaining. We used hardy, drought-resistant plants that are easy to care for yet visually appealing. A modern design was important, so we incorporated sleek lines and contemporary materials to match the family's lifestyle. We also added olive trees and a large shade structure to meet shade needs. The final design features a modern sanctuary with specific spots for urban farming, allowing the family to enjoy fresh herbs and fruits while having a place to gather. This project reflects our dedication to transforming ordinary spaces into unique experiences tailored to our clients.
Vacation Home
At Oak Design & Build, we specialize in transforming challenging landscapes into functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Our latest project involved a steep, sloped hill that we converted into a modern sanctuary, making the most of a stunning mountain vista. Understanding our client's priority for low maintenance and unique design, particularly given their frequent absences, we designed a serene environment featuring low maintenance grasses and olive trees, alongside contemporary hardscape elements.
The layout includes a welcoming seating area designed to offer unobstructed views of the mountains. We meticulously crafted a tiered entertaining space that seamlessly transitions from a patio dining area to a meditation garden. This space culminates in a cozy fireplace area, leading to a custom bocce ball court, promising both entertainment and relaxation. Each element was carefully considered, ensuring both functionality and beauty, while remaining low-maintenance for the client’s needs.
Backyard Oasis
At Oak Design & Build, our transformative touch turned a mundane concrete patio and grass backyard into a contemporary oasis. Through innovative design and meticulous craftsmanship, we curated a serene space flourishing with lush greenery and an inviting seating area. The introduction of vegetable garden beds not only added functional value but also seamlessly enhanced the overall aesthetic, merging modernity with natural allure. We prioritized safety with a dedicated grassy area, providing families a space for leisure and play. Thoughtfully included shaded seating areas, a cozy fire pit, and abundant gardens create pockets of respite and beauty throughout the space. Our commitment to merging functionality and aesthetics shines in every detail of this modern oasis, offering a haven where design meets tranquility, and outdoor living is elevated to an art form.
